I love the Japanese

Some cultures have an amazing sense of humor. The Japanese seem to be one of those cultures and countries.

The energy and sometimes borderline insanity they display on tv shows, commercials, and in movies is astounding.

Today I would like to highlight some of those things here on my Blob. So Here are a bunch of amazing Japanese videos for your enjoyment.

#1. Our first stop on this journey is to a japanese game show. This game show seems to be based on the idea of 4 guys dressing up in spandex grasshopper suits, then trying to ride a little razor scooter through colorful padded walls. If they knock down any walls an evil female grasshopper lady eats something that makes her breath smell, holds the person down and breathes into a tube, making the loser smell her horrid grasshopper breath. If you think I am joking or made this up just watch the video.

#2. Our second stop is to an amazing 80’s commercial with a cameo from Mr. Universe Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now I’m pretty sure that this is a commercial about a drink that when drunk gives the drinker special powers which include. Changing your wardrobe to something a little more flashy, flying, and the ability to make graded cheese fall from the sky and shower whoever you would like.

#3. And our next stop is some stand up comedy from a really funny guy named Jinnai Tomonori this isn’t as weird as it is just really funny. Enjoy.

#4. Now I don’t like cats that much. Apparently this is something that the Japanese and I have in common. This was a show in Japan that ran a segment on experimenting with what happens when you take a large piece of tape and put it on different areas on a cats body. Hmmmm.

#5. Everyone loves a good prank. But as we know sometimes Japanese culture loves to take things to the extreme! What about a prank where an unsuspecting guy goes in for an interview then all of the sudden a sniper takes down everyone but you in a random office? Hmm How is this legal? Only in Japan.

#6. Have you ever wanted to learn a foreign language and do aerobics at the same time? Well with the Japanese all things are possible. Watch this video and you can stretch those muscles and get a good mental work out too.

#7. I’ve always been a big fan of Zelda games. This is a music video/advertisement for the Legend of Zelda a link to the past. It involves a lot of dancing and singing.

#8. Have you ever wondered what happens when you close a pizza box. Have you ever wondered if all of the pizza toppings get together and have a big choreographed dance party?

So there it is, your culture experience for today.

Not your mothers Acronyms

Oh the joy of Acronyms.

If you are confused as to what an Acronym is. It’s a bunch of words that magically meet each other in the space time continuum of the english language. These words start to hang out a lot and form a very close tight nit relationship. Then what happens next is these words decide to get an apartment together which makes them grown even closer than they were before. Then suddenly one day they wake up in their apartment from a night of fun word partying with other words and to their surprise they see that they have somehow been surgically joined together to create a brand new word. The bad thing is that they lose every other letter in their body except for their first one. Which does upset some words, but they get over it. It would basically be the equivelent of creating a new human out of a bunch of different people’s heads…….. And that is the magic that creates what we like to call acronyms!

So today i would like to highlight some acronyms that are not as well known as other famous acronyms. And I would also like to open your eyes to words that you have been using your entire life that you never even knew were acronyms.

Dogs with hats

There are many things that I enjoy in life. Many things that are purely…. simple pleasures. And two of those simple pleasures just seem to fit together so perfectly. Dogs and hats. From a young age I have had a genuine love for the canine race. I even worked at an animal clinic walking dogs for a year in high school. Now hats on the other hand I don’t really like that much. But that’s besides the point. Today is dedicated to the joy of seeing dogs in hats.

Enjoy what I like to call a little slice of paradise.  10 dogs in hats in no Particular order.

“Come Sail away with me”

“Flower child”

“Soccer Mom”

“Irish Irash”

“Hat Love”

“It’s a Cat Eat dog Head World”

“South of the border….collie”

“The revenge of Mario”

“Spider vs. Pug”

“the Golden Girls”

Congratulations you’ve done it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed it.
